"평범한 도시 풍경: An Ordinary Cityscape"

미세먼지가 가득한 서울 하늘을 올려다 보고 있자면,
언젠가 계절에는 늘 맑았던 하늘이 있었는지조차 가물가물해 진다.
해가 변하고, 계절이 다시 돌아오면, 매년 그랬다는 듯이 높고 맑은 하늘이 반겨주던 그 때가.
도시의 풍경을 주로 담는 작가의 입장에서, 이런 하늘을 올려다보는 것이 마냥 즐겁지만은 않다.
도시의 중요한 구성 요소가 되는 캔버스가 칙칙하고 답답한 색을 뿜으면, 그 캔버스 위의 전경은 말할 것도 없으니까.
그래도 여전히, 가끔은 맑은 날이 보인다.
감사하게도, 맑은 날을 만나 하늘을 올려다 볼 때면,
쉴 새 없이 셔터를 눌러댄다.
이제는 참 만나기 어려워진 하늘이라서.

When I am looking at the sky of Seoul in dusty, I do rarely remember even there was a clear sky ever.
That moment, when the sun changed and seasons came, clear sky was welcomed me.
I am the cityscape guy, and I am not very pleased to see this dusty sky.
Sky is the canvas of cityscape, and it is very significant element of cityscape.
If sky is dusty and pale, foreground of that canvas has nothing to talk about.
But I can still met clear sky sometimes.
So when I meet the clear sky, thankfully,
I constantly push my shutter button.
Cause it's very hard to see clear sky these days.
