"High Sky"

제주의 하늘을 바라보고 있자면, '여기 그냥 눌러앉아서 살아버릴까' 하는 생각이 들었다.
그럴 수 없는 이유가 있다면 그것은 단연 '먹고 살 수 있을까' 하는 고민 때문이다.
직장생활을 하면서, 많은 제약이 생겼다. 시간의 제약, 행동의 제약, 취미의 제약 등등.
답답하고, 한편으로는 손발이 잘려나간 것 같은 생각을 하면서도 이 일을 놓을 수 없는 건,
나와 가족에게 생활비가 필요하기 때문이고,
그리고 이 일도 내겐 꽤나 재미있는 축에 속하기 때문이다.
이 사진을 찍으면서, 나는 제주의 파란 하늘을 담아두고 싶었다.
저 멀리 어떤 용도로의 탑을 가운데에 두면,
관객이 외롭게 서 있는 저 탑에 자신을 이입할 수 있을 것이라고 생각했다.
역시 원본을 0.1도 정도 기울이고, 약간 손을 보니 꽤 괜찮은 사진이 나왔다.
그래도 주 피사체는 하늘이니까, 하늘에 더 힘을 주기로 했다.
이 사진을 보는 사람들이 그 동안 만큼은, 일과 일상으로부터 잠시 쉬는 시간을 얻었으면 하는 마음으로.

When I looked Jeju's sky, I just thought that 'I could stay here'.
But I couldn't cause I had no job to do at Jeju.
Since I started go work, there are so many constraints came. Time, Space, Habits, and etcs..
I can't stop go working, even if I feel like I am stuck or hands and feet are removed,
because I need money for live with my family,
and because my job is pretty fun, actually.
When I took this photography, I wanted to capture the blue sky of Jeju.
Put that tower of some purpose into center of scene,
I thought maybe the audience could put themselves into that lonely tower.
Of course, pretty nice photography printed,
after finally I adjusted 0.1 degrees of rotation and touched few materials.
I decided to add intensity into sky because the sky is the main subject.
I hope that the audiences who are watching this can have some rest of mind even for a moment.
